EMPOWERING PARENT VOICES

True leadership starts with listening. Through his “Open Door Policy” and the establishment of Parent Advisory Boards, Dennis ensures that families have a direct seat at the table in shaping the policies that affect their children.

A District Built on Collaboration

When Dennis was appointed Principal, he didn’t start by issuing orders. He started with a “Listening Tour.” He spent his first months touring the campus and meeting with parents to understand the school’s culture and challenges before implementing changes. This philosophy—listening first, acting second—will be the foundation of his service on the School Board.

Engagement isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a system. Dennis formalized parent involvement by creating the Parent Advisory Board, giving families input on school events, budget priorities, and initiatives. He also maintains weekly “Open Door” office hours, ensuring that any parent can walk in and discuss academic programs or campus efforts directly with leadership.

An informed parent is an empowered parent. Dennis launched parent education workshops covering topics from academic support strategies to mental health awareness. Furthermore, he ensures total transparency by keeping parent committees regularly updated on financial decisions, so you always know where tax dollars are going.
